A Video Gone Wrong!
A little over a week ago a popular Youtuber that is a prankster has published a video of a prank that has gone too far. Today we’re going to break down what happened and gather your opinions/thoughts and see what happens to the Voopoo company and vaping as whole during this Voopoo Boycott.
The long story short, this Youtuber put helium in his brother’s vape and had him vape on it.
How It Started.
So as stated before, this Youtuber has a channel where a majority of the content is pointed towards prank related content. The channel that were referring to has over 4 million subscribers which is almost triple the amount than the popular vape reviewer that goes by the name of RiP Trippers.
At first the video starts off normal as he states that the Voopoo company has sponsored the video to utilize the products shown in the video.
In the video you can see the Youtuber holding a Voopoo Drag 2 kit and at first everything seems completely normal.
Shortly after though this is where things change, he takes a normal hit from a vape and explains that when you hit your vape it makes your voice deeper. Immediately after though he laughs and chuckles then changes the game up. He puts helium inside the vaporizer and changes his voice in a higher pitch tone because of the helium.
Now no one knows really if it’s true or fake, however many of the popular youtubers that review vapes are absolutely outraged.
The Voopoo Boycott Begins!
Because of the huge explosion of this video this is where everything has gone terribly wrong.
Many of the popular Youtubers are now expressing their thoughts/reviewing the video this man published.
We watched many of the reviews as well and yes, there is a lot of hate speech going around about this video right now.
After we watched his video we were sitting at our desks scratching our heads thinking “what is wrong with this individual.
Here we are 2 weeks later roughly and now the video has been removed from Youtube either by the actual Youtube company, or the creator of the video himself, however no one truly knows why the video was taken down.
Shortly after the video was posted though this is where things get interesting. Many of the ethical vape reviewers started posting their own videos in reaction to the video that apparently Voopoo sponsored. We do not know if Voopoo was aware what this Youtuber was going or if they actually did sponsor it so we are staying open minded about it.
One of the most popular videos review this right now is from “Empire Vape Co.” You can watch this video below:
If you watched the video you can tell this review is absolutely outrage and apparently has witnessed this video himself. He states many times he’s going to email/reach out to the higher ups because he feels as if Voopoo has gone to far this time and they should now be Boycotted. This has officially started a large group titled “The Voopoo Boycott”
We are still unaware of the events that actually went down before this Youtuber made this “prank video” so we have no actual room to decide whether or not Voopoo actually sponsored this.
For all we know he could have gone down to a local vape shop picked up a Drag 2 kit and then just stated that Voopoo sponsored the video. Even if Voopoo did sponsor the video, they may have not even known that he was going to do something like this in the video either.
Could There Be Consequences?
If you are a vapor, you will understand what were talking about when we say, we have worked so hard to get vaping regulated and get the “negative image” removed from vaping. Everytime new ID policies/standards are put into effect, the ones that actually care immediately apply these standards to save the vape communities.
This is where the video takes things too far though.
He puts a substance not meant to be inhaled and even worse puts that substance into a device that is already looked at negatively. This in turn could have a negative impact on the vape industry and while we have no results yet stating this. Most people feel it’s only a matter of time before it goes viral and becomes something much more in the vaping industry.
This eventually has led to many people announcing the era of “The Voopoo Boycott.” Now while we don’t now what’s going to happen, we’re pretty sure of one thing, something big is probably about to go down and with that many views/subscribers, the world of vaping could very well change as we know it!
